Barack Obama the 44th President of the U.S.

(This picture was taken on a beach in India)

Barack Obama took the oath of office today as the nation's 44th president, then delivered a sobering assessment of where America stands and a hopeful vision of what it can become. "On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord," he said.
He is such an amazing speaker, I get the chills just listening to him. This is going to be such an historic day for the U.S. I am so glad I was here to witness this moment.
Good Ridance President Bush! :)

He did give a great speech today. I wish him the best. What a huge responsibility. President Bush will be missed. He did the best he could as will Obama. They all have a huge challenge running this country and I look up to all that would take on that challenge.

Wow - what a great and inspirational day! We finally have some hope for our country after 8 years of...well, you know. Hear, hear - good riddance, Bush! Obama - it's time to do your thing. Let's do what we need to to get this country back on track. I wish you could have made it to the inauguration party at Mom and Dad's last night - it was a good time. Hope to see you soon!

Simply inspirational. Obama has such a way of inspiring people. Hopefully Americans can remember this moment and how they felt and never let it fade, but press forward and make a difference.
