Some interesting info on Sarah Palin

Who is Sarah Palin? Here's some basic background:
She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage.

She has no foreign policy experience.1

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5

She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6

How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.7

This is information the American people need to see. Please take a moment to forward this email to your friends and family.
We also asked Alaska MoveOn members what the rest of us should know about their governor. The response was striking. Here's a sample:
She is really just a mayor from a small town outside Anchorage who has been a governor for only 1.5 years, and has ZERO national and international experience. I shudder to think that she could be the person taking that 3AM call on the White House hotline, and the one who could potentially be charged with leading the US in the volatile international scene that exists today. —Rose M., Fairbanks, AK
She is VERY, VERY conservative, and far from perfect. She's a hunter and fisherwoman, but votes against the environment again and again. She ran on ethics reform, but is currently under investigation for several charges involving hiring and firing of state officials. She has NO experience beyond Alaska. —Christine B., Denali Park, AK
As an Alaskan and a feminist, I am beyond words at this announcement. Palin is not a feminist, and she is not the reformer she claims to be. —Karen L., Anchorage, AK
Alaskans, collectively, are just as stunned as the rest of the nation. She is doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national level, and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. In our office of thirty employees (dems, republicans, and nonpartisans), not one person feels she is ready for the V.P. position.—Sherry C., Anchorage, AK
She's vehemently anti-choice and doesn't care about protecting our natural resources, even though she has worked as a fisherman. McCain chose her to pick up the Hillary voters, but Palin is no Hillary. —Marina L., Juneau, AK
I think she's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for a woman in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it. There are far many other women who have worked their way up and have much more experience that would have been better choices. This is a patronizing decision on John McCain's part- and insulting to females everywhere that he would assume he'll get our vote by putting "A Woman" in that position.—Jennifer M., Anchorage, AK
So Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice religious conservative. She's a global warming denier who shares John McCain's commitment to Big Oil. And she's dramatically inexperienced.
In picking Sarah Palin, John McCain has made the religious right very happy. And he's made a very dangerous decision for our country.
In the next few days, many Americans will be wondering what McCain's vice-presidential choice means. Please pass this information along to your friends and family.
Thanks for all you do.

I hope everyone will do their research this year before deciding who to vote for. I have noticed that most people I have talked to don't even know why they chose the party that they are voting for. I wish people would actually do their own research and think about what's best for this country, and not what their parent's have told them to choose, or what is the "popular" vote in their state. If people had thought more about it 4 years ago, then we wouldn't have been stuck with Bush again. I know this is a heated topic, but I thought I would get my opinion out there...

I agree with you 100%. Today's voters need to take an active approach, especially when it comes to this year's presidential election. Our country is in such a crisis in so many ways. People need to take the time to actually look into each of these candidates; do some research and find out where they stand on the issues. If you open your mind, you just might be surprised with what you find.

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2 Abortion is Murder of a Baby for crying out loud. Have you ever considered adoption. Obama supports partial birth abortion which is basically like taking a baby that is alive and crying and killing it. Does that make sense???

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3 I don’t know who that is but I am sure a lot of people supported him. And if it turns out he was a wacko who knew.

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4 This is a lie She has never forced this issue however she has not opposed creationism taught either. She believes it should be regulated and decided on a local level which is a very good thing. The federal government should not have its nose on these kind of issues. Just because she is not against it does not mean she is for it either. By the way what is wrong with creationism? You don’t believe there is a God. What happens when you die then?

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5 Humans are not the cause of climate change that is the great lie of all liberals to try to scare people into giving up their rights and freedoms so they can have the ability to regulate more and grow the power of government. The truth is the earths climate has been getting cooler for the last 5 years and even if there were more warming people can try to stop by using their free agency and choice. We do not need more regulations on something that is very hard to prove. A “solution” to Global Warming is not going to come by force.

She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6 There is a higher population of polar bears right now then there ever have been before. The only reason why some polar bears starve is because their population is on the rise. What is Alaska for if not for oil that is one of the main reasons the US bought it in the first place. Oil first is right if we don’t find and use our own oil supply we are forced to buy it from nations known for supporting terrorism. The truth here is that by growing our own oil supply we will have a stronger economy and that will most likely lead to the eventual growth of developing sources of alternative energy which will speed the whole process of getting off oil all together.

Does Sarah Palin Scare you. What do you mean Vet her. Like when you take a dog to the Vet? I think when they had her go to the vet she checked out ok. She has a great family. I guess her husband had a DUI like 30 years ago. Wow, is that it. Her daughter had a child out of wedlock?? Is that as bad as the president himself getting a BJ in the oval office. Nobody’s perfect

Site your source. How can you say she has more FOREIGN policy experience? That makes absolutely no sense. Also, in case you hadn't heard, Obama is a STATE SENATOR. That's a little more than a community organizer.

Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2 Abortion is Murder of a Baby for crying out loud. Have you ever considered adoption. Obama supports partial birth abortion which is basically like taking a baby that is alive and crying and killing it.
It's not whether you would personally chose to have an abortion, but rather the right to choose. It's ironic that you call liberals communists, but dictating what a woman can and can't do with her body - now that sounds a lot like communist/dictatorship policy to me.

She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3 I don’t know who that is but I am sure a lot of people supported him. And if it turns out he was a wacko who knew.
Since you say you're sure a lot of people supported him, shouldn't you at least know who he is? Especially since he's a big wig in the republican party. And to say, "if it turns out he was a wacko who knew", isn't it great to be able to claim ignorance? As they say, ignorance is bliss...

The bottom line here is that since the inception of this country, there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. If you want to teach/learn creationism, save it for church. Why don't we use the time she wanted used to teach creationism to teach something more relevant and important, such as teaching sex education in schools, and that could prevent a 17 year old from getting knocked up and "having to get married". Teaching sex education (since obviously many parents aren't doing it) could very well lead to a lower number of abortions. Yay - kill two birds with one stone.

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5 Humans are not the cause of climate change that is the great lie of all liberals to try to scare people into giving up their rights and freedoms so they can have the ability to regulate more and grow the power of government. We do not need more regulations on something that is very hard to prove. A “solution” to Global Warming is not going to come by force.
Are you kidding me? Site your source. Prove to me that global warming hasn't been a direct result of the things people have done to this poor planet.

She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6 There is a higher population of polar bears right now then there ever have been before. Right, there are too many polar bears, and that is why they are starving, just like if we didn't have the deer hunt, all the deer would starve to death. Where is the logic there? Asinine! Not to mention the fact that the polar ice caps ARE melting, causing these poor bears to be lost at sea, inevitably leading to their death (AP, 2008)

How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Is that as bad as the president himself getting a BJ in the oval office. Nobody’s perfect.
Hell ya she scares me. All of her ideals and stances are completely opposite from mine. If she and McCain are elected, I'm afraid our country will continue to spiral downhill, and things will get even worse (if that is possible after two terms with Bush). It's funny that you say no body's perfect, right after you bring up a president getting a BJ in the oval office. Way to stand by your own convictions. Oh, and since you have a limited vocabulary, let me help in broadening it a little; the definition of vet is to appraise, verify, or check for accuracy, authenticity, validity, etc.

She ran on ethics reform, but is currently under investigation for several charges involving hiring and firing of state officials. She has NO experience beyond Alaska. Neither does Obama
Um, newsflash, Obama has nothing to do with the governing of Alaska, he is a United States Senator.

—Christine B., Denali Park, AKAs an Alaskan and a feminist, I am beyond words at this announcement. Palin is not a feminist, and she is not the reformer she claims to be. Good feminists are nuts. Spend more time raising your children and quit sticking them in daycare!
Wow - that is quite a bold and offensive statement. First, women can do more than stay home and take care of the kids. (And it's not just the woman's job, men can get involved in child rearing too). Second, many family's can't afford to have the mother stay home to raise the kids. With the current state of our economy and the skyrocketing costs of everyday things, it is amazing that anyone can afford to have someone stay home. Rather than sharing your disdain with people like this, be grateful that you are fortunate enough to have your little boy with you all day. Not many have that option. Thrid, Sarah Palin has 5 children herself. If you think someone else isn't going to be raising her kids, you're fooling yourself.

—Karen L., Anchorage, AKAlaskans, collectively, are just as stunned as the rest of the nation. She is doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national level, and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. What does it mean to be far right? To me it seems to be far left is to be a communist and to be far right is to me more like our founding fathers who love FREEDOM!
Definition of far right: Far right, extreme right, ultra-right, or radical right are terms used to discuss the qualitative or quantitative position a group or person occupies within a political spectrum. Far right is typically used to describe a political viewpoint that advocates strong social conservatism or social authoritarianism, rejects liberalism, and rejects communism.
The terms far right and far left are often used to imply that someone is an extremist. The terms are used by many political commentators to discuss political groups, movements, and political parties that are difficult to classify within conventional right-wing politics. The terms extreme right or ultra right are used by some scholars to discuss only those right-wing political groups that step outside the boundaries of traditional electoral politics. This generally includes the revolutionary right, militant racial supremacists and religious extremists, fascists, neo-fascists, Nazis, neo-Nazis and Klansmen. In this usage, the terms are distinct from other forms of right-wing politics such as the less-militant sectors of the far right, right-wing populists and the more traditional conservatives. At any rate, your use of the word liberal being so easily interchanged with communist is ludicris. That would be like me calling you, a conservative, a neo-nazi, fascist. Doesn't feel too good, does it?

In our office of thirty employees (dems, republicans, and nonpartisans), not one person feels she is ready for the V.P. position. So who is ready some deep routed Washington corrupted politician?
Interesting that your defense here is exactly the definition of McCain. He's so deep rooted in corrupt Washington politics, it's disgusting.

—Sherry C., Anchorage, AKShe's vehemently anti-choice ( Great abortion is murdering an innocent child. If you have any belief in God whatsoever that that there is a right and wrong what would make abortion right?
Again, separation of church and state. It's not up to the government to dictate what people can do with their bodies. Also, this might come as a shocker to you, but you don't have to believe in God to be a US Citizen. I know - crazy!

and doesn't care about protecting our natural resources( Oil is a natural resource!)

Yet another ironic statement on your part. You can't have it both ways. First you say a woman's place is at home raising children, then you say Obama has only been chosen because he is a man. Make up your mind; you can't have it both ways.

There are far many other women who have worked their way up (Corruption)

that would have been better choices. This is a patronizing decision on John McCain's part- and insulting to females everywhere that he would assume he'll get our vote by putting "A Woman" in that position.—Jennifer M., That just doesn’t make any sense.
It makes complete sense. Let me see if I can rephrase it in a way you can understand. It was a cheap tactic on John McCain's part to pick such an inexperienced woman that essentially no one had heard of, with exception of the botched Bridge to Nowhere. It is patronizing (definition: To treat in a condescending manner) because it was done in an attempt to gain the votes of people who are likely to make their decision based solely on the fact that a woman is running. This is patronizing because it assumes that Americans are too dumb to realize what is going on, and will vote for him based on this cheap tactic. Uh oh, I guess it's working...

Anchorage, AKSo Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice great abortion is murder religious should you not run a country if you actually believe you have to answer to god when you die.
I don't know how to better relay this to you, but it isn't a prerequisite to believe in God to be the President of the United States. Our founding fathers intentionally specified the division of church and state. Religion and God should have nothing to do with our federal government.

Wow, very accepting of your religion. Let's move on to homosexuals...they aren't shown tolerance or acceptance, but exactly the opposite. And women? Oh, don't even get me started on the way your church treats women. That is the #1 reason I am no longer Mormon. It is the fundamental philosophy of almost every religion (especially christian religions) to claim theirs is the only right choice, and everyone else is wrong. But back to the topic at hand, THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE, SO LET'S LEAVE RELIGION OUT OF IT!!!!

In the next few days, many Americans will be wondering what McCain's vice-presidential choice means. Huh? What in the world do you mean by this? In case you aren't familiar with the website, it is "an online free-content encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales has described Wikipedia as "an effort to create and distribute a multilingual free encyclopedia of the highest quality to every single person on the planet in his or her own language. Moveon.org supports communism. They preach communism. Tell me when has communism worked? What does the loss of freedom do to other nations? What has it created in the past? Where does that road lead???

This sounds like the rantings of Fox News, or something ridiculous like that. Site your source. Oh, and have you heard of a little country called China? Yep, they are becoming the new world/economic power and guess what? They are communists

I have done my research and I think Liberals are communists.
It's funny to me that Laura posted in a very respectful and appropriate manner. She never insulted anyone who might have a different point of view, moreover, she provided a place where people can comment with their thoughts. You did the exact opposite, and were quite offensive. And for nearly the last time, I say, site your source.

Wow - Lora, so you think that Laura and I are communists, huh? That's a pretty strong statement. But, I commend you for actually doing a little research, even if some of it is spewing nonsense (republican propaganda) and is quite ridiculous. Site your sources, or are you just making stuff up?

Disclaimer: I started this post to let everyone hear some FACTUAL information about Sarah Palin. Yes, they are facts, I even have listed sources for every fact stated. I never once bashed people for being Republican, and did not put this article on my page to insult anyone that is Republican. I did not even state my opinion on what Republicans believe in, but since one person decided to make this into a heated debate, I will get involved because I think it's necessary to defend what I believe in.

Quote from Lora- Good feminists are nuts. Spend more time raising your children and quit sticking them in daycare!
If you think day care is so bad for your child, then are you going to home-school your child as well? And if so, how are you going to do that when you and your husband don’t even have your own high school diplomas? It’s pretty pathetic to me that you are going to come in and bash me for putting my child in daycare. Matt and I need my income to be able to provide for our family. We choose to be independent and will not rely on anyone else for financial help, and if that means putting my child in an in-home day care with someone that we have known for years and completely trust, than I must be a horrible mom! My mom had me in day care ever since I was a baby, and I think she was a terrific mother. She has raised me to think for myself and to be OPEN-MINDED and tolerant of other people’s beliefs. There are studies that say that daycare is actually good for your child, in that it socializes them early on in life. Besides, my son already has made a ton of friends, is very advanced in vocabulary (cognitive) and his motor skills. I believe some of his extreme intelligence may be due to the fact that he is in a learning environment with other kids for a few hours a day. I can’t begin to tell you how proud of a mother I am to have such a fun, intelligent, energetic child.

I also am pro-choice, believing that every woman has the right to choose what happens with her body. To deny a woman reproductive rights is simultaneously expressing a view that she is not allowed to control certain objects that might grow inside her own body or have access to contemporary medical technology, thus losing control over her life. It is moral to allow people to make conscientious medical decisions based on all facts possible, including risks, alternatives, and the latest technological advancements, especially in terms of elective surgery. Also, it is imperative that the government trusts women to make moral personal choices about reproduction, which include (but are not limited to): contraception, adoption, abortion, and parenting. Pregnancy is a consequence of sex, but it should never be a punishment. Conversely, this is occurring through conservative or so-called “pro-life” ideology. By attempting to make abortion illegal and inaccessible, these “pro-life” proponents are advocating for forced pregnancy, almost as if pregnancy and children should be a punishment for having sex, regardless of whether the sex was consensual in nature. It is immoral to force a woman to carry to term or have an abortion regardless of the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy. It is moral to accept the notion of this choice being personal and often heartrending in nature. Its complexity is astounding. Society must offer all options to all people so that the patient can make the best decision for her and those she affects at that time in her life. To refuse access to abortion is to promote the immorality of forcing someone to do something that is not beneficial for her/himself rather than allowing a patient privacy to make a personal medical decision. To usurp someone else’s authority over his/her own body is violating, and that is immoral.

Humans aren’t the sole cause for climate changes; however, they do have an effect on the environment. Atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations have increased since the mid-1700s through fossil fuel burning and changes in land use, with more than 80% of this increase occurring since 1900. Moreover, research indicates that increased levels of carbon dioxide will remain in the atmosphere for hundreds to thousands of years. It is virtually certain that increasing atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases will cause global surface climate to be warmer. Human activities are increasingly altering the Earth's climate. These effects add to natural influences that have been present over Earth's history. Scientific evidence strongly indicates that natural influences cannot explain the rapid increase in global near-surface temperatures observed during the second half of the 20th century. Human impacts on the climate system include increasing concentrations of atmospheric greenhouse gases (e.g., carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons and their substitutes, methane, nitrous oxide, etc.), air pollution, increasing concentrations of airborne particles, and land alteration. A particular concern is that atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide may be rising faster than at any time in Earth's history, except possibly following rare events like impacts from large extraterrestrial objects. The global climate is changing and human activities are contributing to that change. Scientific research is required to improve our ability to predict climate change and its impacts on countries and regions around the globe. Scientific research provides a basis for mitigating the harmful effects of global climate change through decreased human influences (e.g., slowing greenhouse gas emissions, improving land management practices), technological advancement (e.g., removing carbon from the atmosphere), and finding ways for communities to adapt and become resilient to extreme events. Reducing pollution that humans put out into our atmosphere wouldn’t be a bad thing, would it? I would much rather have my children and future grandchildren breathing healthy, clean air. I don’t want the things we are doing to the earth now to cause my future generations to have to suffer. And yes, I do list my source to back my scientific evidence up… Source:http://www.agu.org/sci_soc/policy/climate_change_position.html

There are multiple times where religion is mentioned in your argument, I won’t even get into that. Religion is not even supposed to be part of politics; church and state are two entirely separate things. If you would like to talk religion with me, I will gladly tell you what I believe in, but that is a different subject that has nothing to do with our government. I will leave it at that…

Another question for you- Do you think that Bush has done a good job as president? I’m guessing you are one of those people that basically remembers Clinton for his affair he had while in office. Clinton did so many great things for America, not to mention he had a surplus going for our national budget, and now that we have the magnificent Bush for president, we are trillions- yes, I said trillions- of dollars in debt. It’s sad how little effort it took our pee-wee brained president, Bush, to demolish our nation’s surplus. It makes me cringe to think what McCain will do if we let him into office. I believe if we have smart enough people living in America, than we won’t have to suffer through another moron for a president. Come on people, stick it out and get your freaking high school education, it really isn’t that hard. I mean seriously, I graduated an entire semester early and basically sailed right through. I’ve got my fingers crossed America; we can make an intelligent choice this time!!

Oh and just to make it clear to everyone, I am a proud DEMOCRAT and am nothing close to a communist. I believe in Freedom, just as I have clearly described above. Democrats believe that people should be able to have more rights for themselves and shouldn’t be oppressed by the government. If you truly look at things from the perspective of a democrat, you will see that you are allowed more freedom and aren’t completely regulated by the government.

There have been studies stating that the most intellectual, educated people in the U.S. are Democrats (scholars, professors, teachers, etc.). I don’t even have to list a source for that claim, as you can clearly see when you read this entire argument which of us is more educated. I have not used hurtful names in here to try and demean someone else. I have come up with my entire argument on politics by using common sense, and factual evidence. When I said, do your research, I meant it. Don’t just state arguments that have no factual evidence to back them up- I mean really, DO YOUR RESEARCH!!

Josh Speaking -

Look everyone I wrote that stuff in a hurry. I am sorry to offend. Lora told me to read that post and I did and just kinda made a quick response of the first thing that popped into my head after each little point. I finished typing in no more than 5 minutes. Lora came in and just kind of glanced at it a little bit. She thought it was kind of funny but I don't think she really payed attention to every little thing I typed. Any way she thought it would be funny to post it not thinking it was going to offend you all so badly.

The thing I said that I think offended the most was when I said feminists should quit being feminists and get their kids out of daycare. I didn't know your kids were in daycare or I probably wouldn't have said it because I didn't want to extend very Personal jabs. I still think kids should be raised by their mom and not daycare unless their is no choice and I feel people should maybe sacrifice the extra money and wait until their kids are in school. And once the kids are in school only work to that schedule. Now if for some reason the father can't provide but can stay home then I believe it would be great for the couple to switch roles. I think the argument that it takes 2 to provide is rarely true. I think most of the time there is enough money for the essentials and you just should sacrifice for the rest.

Any way you're right I am probably too dumb to hold an intelligent discussion because I didn't graduate. I don't have time to pull out references and facts however there are a few basic things I believe and I don't need facts to back them up.

1. Abortion is murder. (obviously I feel strong about this) I don't hate people that are pro choice but I personally think abortion is murder. Since I believe that I do think it is the governments responsibility to stop it.

2. I think the mentality to tax the rich and give to the poor is a form of communism or is at least the basis of communism. That all people should have as much as each other. The rich should have the right to choose what they wish to give.

3. I think the government should only exist to provide individual rights and to keep others from taking those rights. Murder is a way one person takes away another persons rights therefore it is the governments responsibility. One example .... Health care is not a right. In order to provide health care you have to take away the rights of the health care provider and force them to extend rights to another Or you have to take away the rights of the taxpayer and force him to provide health care for another. This is excessive government.

I am not some John maccain lover I just think he will take away less rights than Obama will in the same period and really that is all I need to know. I do think the longer you spend in washington usually the more corrupt you get so that part does scare me. However to me it seems Obama is just itching to take away rights and raise taxes and I hate that.

Loras Debate on Abortion
First of all, I’m sure you’re not surprised Palin is anti pro-choice considering she is a republican. However this debate is very much an opinionated debate, so sourcing out things won’t do a lot with this debate, but if you want it you got it. Abortion is used to mean "induced abortion" of an embryo or fetus at any point in pregnancy. Stated off of Wikipedia, just to give a little source.
Reasons for abortions

In 2000, cases of rape or incest accounted for only 1% of abortion. Another study, in 1998, revealed that women reported the following reasons for choosing an abortion:

• 25.5% Want to postpone childbearing
• 21.3% Cannot afford a baby
• 14.1% Has relationship problem or partner does not want pregnancy
• 12.2% Too young; parent(s) or other(s) object to pregnancy
• 10.8% Having a child will disrupt education or job
• 7.9% Want no (more) children
• 3.3% Risk to fetal health
• 2.8% Risk to maternal health
• 2.1% Other
Some numbers for everyone to see below

WORLDWIDE
Number of abortions per year: Approximately 42 Million
Number of abortions per day: Approximately 115,000
UNITED STATES
Number of abortions per year: 1.37 Million (1996)
Number of abortions per day: Approximately 3,700
http://www.abortionno.org/Resources/fastfacts.html

I know at least 20 women who cannot have children and who find adopting difficult because they have to compete with abortion. I also personally know 3 women who have had abortions and will never live it down, and that isn’t because of religious guilt either. It is human nature because all 3 of these women aren’t even religious. When a women becomes pregnant, it is no longer just about her and her body. It has just become more, they have a child growing in them. They chose to risk an unwanted pregnancy and now they have choice to make. That choice shouldn’t be to kill her baby, however if that is her choice, it shouldn’t be made readily available by the government. They shouldn’t make it easy for someone to kill their baby. If getting pregnant is a mistake you can give your baby up for adoption. For more info on adoption you can check out. http://www.lds.org

• Differences
• Adoption
• • Your pregnancy ends with giving life.
• • You may feel good and positive about your choice.
• • You will remember giving birth.
• • You will have plenty of time to plan your and your baby's future.
• • You can hold, name, and love your baby.
• • You can have continued contact with your child.

• Abortion
• • Your pregnancy ends with death.
• • You may feel guilt and shame about your choice.
• • You will remember taking a life.
• • Abortion is final; you can't reverse your decision.
• • You will never know or treasure your baby.
• • You will miss the opportunity to see your child develop.

Obama is extreme in the abortion issue. I cannot support someone who believes in that.

He opposed the ban on partial-birth abortion -- a practice a fellow Democrat, the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, once called "too close to infanticide." Obama strongly criticized the Supreme Court decision upholding the partial-birth ban. In the Illinois state Senate, he opposed a bill similar to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which prevents the killing of infants mistakenly left alive by abortion. And now Obama has oddly claimed that he would not want his daughters to be "punished with a baby" because of a crisis pregnancy -- hardly a welcoming attitude toward new life.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/01/AR2008040102197.html

You need to see this in more detail to understand.
A little info on Partial-birth abortion
http://www.nrlc.org/ABORTION/pba/index.html

I understand some people have a health issue come up when they find they are pregnant. That is up to a doctor and their family to decide. To me it is better to abort if your life depends on it especially when you have 4 kids at home to take care of.

If you want to agree to disagree that's fine with me, but please don't be offended. This was supposed to be fun right?

On most of these other issues I don’t have a lot of time to get into. Maybe I’ll check back later. But I will address one last issue and that is “that graduating from Highschool makes you smart or successful” is a misconception. If you’d like proof of that I have some sources listed below which include Actors and models, Authors, poets, and playwrights, Business leaders and entrepreneurs, Comedians, Film directors, Musicians, singers, and composers, News anchors, journalists, and reporters, Politicians, socialites, and royalty, Scientists and inventors, Sports players.

To name a few: Albert Einstein, The Wright brothers, Vincent van Gogh, William Shakespeare, Henry Ford, Peter Jennings, Ronald Reagan, etc.
http://www.education-reform.net/dropouts2.htm

Also, I did graduate from High school, and like yourself I graduated early by 1 semester. Unlike you I didn’t soar through, I was doing packets from home in bed for home and hospital schooling. It was only hard cause I felt absolutely miserable, the work was simple, just time consuming. So if you want to call anyone stupid that’s fine, however don’t call them stupid because of their education level. There are plenty of people who graduate with a D+ average, and I’m not saying they’re even stupid. If you want to judge by education at least get into the college degrees. I’m not offended, so this little note wasn’t supposed to be angry, just clearing something up. If you post controversial things on your blog people will get offended. It happens all the time, so if you post it, don’t be so sensitive to what people might say. Hopefully cause we’re friends you can forgive me and love me anyway cause I don’t care that much. Hopefully the negative impact wasn't too big.
Lastly I just wanted to say I think you're a great mom. It has been so fun to watch you with Tyce. It's a perfect roll for you, and I think i've mentioned this to you more than once, so I hope you believe me.
Love, Lora

Debate on God and Politics
It seems to leave god out of politics is the new thing, not the old ways. Our country was founded upon God, and now everyone is trying to take him out of everything!
Here are some quotes of the older days...

“ It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and Bible.”
George Washington

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." --October 11, 1798
John Adams

“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel” –Constitutional Convention of 1787 | original manuscript of this speech
Benjamin Franklin

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, and that His justice cannot sleep forever.” (excerpts are inscribed on the walls of the Jefferson Memorial in the nations capital) [Source: Merrill . D. Peterson, ed., Jefferson Writings, (New York: Literary Classics of the United States, Inc., 1984), Vol. IV, p. 289. From Jefferson’s Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII, 1781.]
